<br /> "WHEREAS, the Eugene Water Board, through resolution duly adopted and further !
<br /> I
<br /> acting by and through the Superintendent, has requested the Common Council of the
<br /> City of Eugene, Lane Coun ty, Oregon, to institute certain condemnation proceedings
<br /> for the acquisition of land for right of way of water transmission pipe line and
<br /> electrical transmission and distribution lines and other s~ructures as may be re-
<br /> quired incidental thereto.
<br /> .
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Eugene,
<br /> that 1~20 acres, more or less, of land belonging to and owned of record by Harry
<br /> W. Veach and Ruth E. Veach, described as follows, to wit:
<br /> Beginning at a point 1667.95 fe"et north and 355.26 feet east of the
<br /> southwest corner of the D.L.C. of Felix Scott Jr., No. 51, T. 17 S., R. 3 W. of the
<br /> W. M. ; thenc~ Dorth 19.5 feet; thence North 800 01' east 95'0.'6 feet to the
<br /> east ~ine of the second tract of land described in Vol. 220, page 238 of
<br /> the Deed Records of Lane County, Oregon; thence south 61.0 feet; thence
<br /> S. 800201' W. 7ll~4 feet to the south line of said tract; thence West along I
<br /> s~id south line 235.5 feet to point of beginning, and containing 1.20 acres,
<br /> more or less; the above described land to consist of, in general, a strip
<br /> sixty feet in width, subject to the right of the grantor to build~ ~nd
<br /> maintain roadways and irrigation ditches across said strip of land, all
<br /> within Lane County, Oregon,
<br /> is hereby found and declared by the Common Council of said City of Eugene to be
<br /> necessary for the use of said city for water transmission pipe line and electrical
<br /> transmission and distribution lines and other structures as may be required inci-

<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of said City of Eugene, that the
<br /> City Attorney shall immediately proceed in eminent domain to condemn the aforesaid
<br /> 1.20 acres of land belonging to and owned of record by Harry W. Veach and Ruth E.
<br /> Veach, above specifically described, for the uses and purposes as aforesaid, and to
<br /> tender unto said Harry W. Veach and Ruth E. Veach the sum of $720.00 in full payment
<br /> therefor, the property to be for the above uses and purposes of said City by and
<br /> through the Eugene Water Board."
