<br />of. Jefferson Street southerly from the City Limits to the Lorane Highway. It appears
<br />to" the: Planning Commission that Jefferson Street affords a natural through north jt
<br />and south arterial for the City, and that steps should immediately be taken to acqut:re
<br />necessary street rights of way so that a future extension of Jefferson Street would~
<br />not be jeopardized. . ~

<br />Council the future extension of Jefferson Street southerly from the City limits to ';

<br />"The City Board ~f Health, at its October meeting, gave further consideration ~
<br />to the problem of the milk supply for the City of Eugene. The point of particular '
<br />. conSideration was the feasibility of milk supply after January 1, 1948, under the
<br />Grade "A" standard prescribed by t~e city milk ordinance. .

<br />A hearing was given the managers of the two leading milk distributors in :
<br />Eugene and a letter on the subject from the Lane County -Market Milk Produeers" Inc.;:
<br />expressed the reaction of a number of prod ucers to the strict enforceme,nt of the" 1
<br />ordinance as of January 1, 1948. "
