It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the rules be suspended by unanimous consent and the ordinance be read the second time. It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the rules be further suspended and the ordinance be read the third time and given final passage. All Councilmen I present voting AYE, the ordinance was declared passed and numbered 9075. 15 Council Bill No. 274 - Re: Initiating the vacation of a part of VanNess between 8th Avenue West and West Broadway, was submitted and read the first time, and upon motion was ordered referred to the Public Works Committee for investi- gation and report. Council Bill No. 275 - Levying assessments for the paving of Tyler Street 16 between 8th Avenue West and West Broadway, was submitted and read the first time. It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the ordinance be laid over and that notice be given to the affected property owners. Council Bill No. 276 - Levying assessments for the paving of Ferry Street 17 between 17th Avenue East and 19th Avenue East, was submitted and read the first time It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the ordinance be laid over and that notice be given to the affected property owners. Council Bill No. 277 - Levying assessments for the paving of Alder Street from 18 25th Avenue East to 27th Avenue East, was submitted and read the first time. It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the ordinance be laid over and that notice be given to the affected property owners. Council Bill No. 280 - Levying assessments for the paving of Monroe Street 21 from 19th to 22nd Avenues West, was submitted and read the first time. Council Bill No. 281 - Adopting survey, plat and report of the City Engineer 22 re: opening of 24th Avenue from Alder to Harris, was submitted and read the first time. It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the rules be suspended by unanimous consent and the ordinance be read the second time.
