Motion carried. <br /> <br />A report of the City Manager re: "Reserved Parking Zones" in restricted <br />areas, was submitted and read as follows: <br /> <br />"We have recently had a question arise as to the provlslons of Ordinance <br />No. 8670 of the City of Eugene, providing for the establishment of "Reserved <br />Parking Zones" in residential districts. Previously these zones have been applied <br />for and granted under the terms of the ordinande on those residential streets where <br />no parking restrictions are in force. <br /> <br />We are, however, faced with the problem now of granting such zones on resi- <br />dential streets bordering the business area, on which 1 hour parking restrictions <br />have been applied. I <br /> <br />I should, therefore, like to suggest that this matter be referred to the <br />Public Safety Committee of the Council for consideration and recommendation." <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />It was moved by Davis, seconded by Allen that the report of the City Manager be <br />received and placed on file and that the: matter be referred to the Public Safety <br />Committee for recommendation.
