<br />THE ASSIST~T C,TY MANAGER EXPLAINED THAT HE HAD RECEIVED A REQUEST FROM WEST COAST
<br />AIRLINES AND SHELL OIL COMPANY FOR PERMISSION TO INSTALL UNDERGROUND TANKS AT
<br />MAHLON-SWEET AIRPORT FOR THE STORAGE OF JET FUELS. HE TOLD THE COMMITTEE THAT THE
<br />CIVIL AERONAUTICS ADMI~IS~RATION HAD DESIGNATED EUGENi AS A JET ,REFUELING STATION
<br />,AND THAT IT WOULD BE NECESSARY TO HAVE FACILITIES AVAILABLE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
<br />THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED THAT NEGOTIATIONS BE ENTERED INTO WITH WEST COAST
<br />AIRLINES WHICH WOULD RESULT IN A LEASE IN WHICH THE CITY WOULD RECEIVE COMPENSA-
<br />TION FROM THE SALE OF JET FUEL.

<br />FOLLOWS: (I) SEWER TO INCLUDE RUNNING THE TRUNK TO THE SOUTH END OF THE PAPE-
<br />FISCHER'TRACT AT'A TOTAL COST 0f $39,600. IT WAS PREVIOUSLY ESTIMATED THAT
