<br />BANKING FACILITIES BE ENACTED, THAT PARKING METERS #110,111,112 AND 113 ON THE
<br />NORTH SIDE OF BROADWAY WEST OF WILLAMETTE STREET BE REMOVED AND THE CURB PAINTED
<br />YELLOW TO DESIGNATE NO PARKING, AND THAT THE STREET BE MARKED AND APPROPRIATE
<br />SIGNS ERECTED DESIGNATING A LANE FOR BANK ZONE, CURB TELLER SERVICE ONLY. '

<br />THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND THE ARCHITECTURAL fiRM Of WILMSEN & ENDICOTT
<br />WHO HAD DESIGNED THE PARK BLOCKS AREA HAD MET TO CONSIDER THE fEASIBILITY OF
<br />PROVIDING RAMPS TO EASE THE INGRESS AND EGRESS OF WHEEL CHAIRS TO AND fROM
<br />THE PARK BLOCKS. IT WAS POINTED OUT IN THE REPORT THAT A CONSIDERABLE HAZARD
<br />WOULD BE CREATED IF, RAMPS WERE TO BE CONSTRUCTED WITHIN THE SIDEWALK AREA AND
<br />THAT If THEY WERE BUILT ACROSS THE GUTTERS, A DR~INAGE PROBLEM WOULD BE CREATED.
<br />THERE WAS ALSO DISCUSSED THE PROBLEM OF LOCATION AS TO CROSSWALKS. THE 01-
<br />RECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS REC~MMENDED THAT A CONTINUATION OF THE STUDY BE MADE TO
<br />DETERMINE HOW MUCH DEMAND THERE IS FOR SUCH WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS. IT WAS SUG-
<br />GESTED THAT MISS JOHNSON Of THE COUNCIL fOR THE AGING BE CONTACTED IN THISRE-
<br />GARD, AND A RECOMMENDATION TO CONDUCT A FURTHER STUDY WAS DEfEATED WITH COUNCIL-
