Motion carried. <br /> Items on October 8, 1964 committee agenda not considered at that time: <br /> I 2 1. Planning Commission Report - September 28. 1964 <br /> a. Annexation area at northwest corner Gilham Road and Holly Avenue. <br /> General Properties (64-120) <br /> 3 b. Annexation area north and east of Minnesota Street. General Prop- <br /> erties ( 64-117) <br /> Both annexations were petitioned by 100% consent, and the Planning <br /> Commission recommended the areas be annexed. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Swanson to annex the areas as petitioned. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 4 c. Amend Code. Building Permits - The Planning Commission recommended <br /> the Eugene City Code be amended to provide that applicants for build- <br /> ing permits must comply with zoning and subdivision regulations before <br /> building permits are issued. <br /> Mrs. Lauris m9ved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the recommended Code amendment be made. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 5 2. Sidewalk. Coburg Road south of Oakway - The Public Works Department <br /> recommended that the City enter into an agreement with the State High- <br /> way Commission for construction of a 5-foot sidewalk along the easterly <br /> I side of Coburg Road through the Interstate 105 interchange. The agree- <br /> ment calls for the State to pay not more than $800 of the construction <br /> cost, with the City paying the balance of the construction cost, pre- <br /> paring the plans, and do the actual construction. The City also is to <br /> assume maintenance of the sidewalk when completed. <br /> Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Swanson to enter into the agreement with the State <br /> Highway Commission for the construction of a sidewalk on the east side of Coburg <br /> e Road through the Interstate 105 interchange south of Oakway Road. Motion carried. <br /> 6 3. Sewer Petition - 9th Place at Garfield - A petition was submitted by <br /> owners of 54% of the property which would be assessed for the con- <br /> struction of a sanitary sewer between 9th Place and 10th Avenue at <br /> Garfield Street. <br /> Mr. Swanson moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to approve the petition. Motion carried. <br /> 7 4. Curb Sidewalk. 5th Addition to Echo Hollow - Mr. J. H. Sorenson re- <br /> quested permission to locate sidewalks at the curb in 5th Addition <br /> to Echo Hollow Park. Curb sidewalk location was recommended on Willhi <br /> Street between Echo Hollow Road and Catalina Street, and a standard . <br /> setback sidewalk was recommended west of Catalina Street because of <br /> the 28-foot paving on a 50-foot right-of-way. <br /> I Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Dr. Purdy that sidewalks be located at the curb as <br /> requested in 5th Addition to Echo Hollow Park.
