Hilyard between 8th and Broadway - Mr. George <br />Coffee, 820 ~ilyard Str~et, requested: l-hpur parking instead of 24- <br />minute truck load,ing zone on Hilyard between 8th and Broadway. The <br />public works department recommended ipstallation of a ~-hour park- <br />.ing zone on. the ~~st side of Hilyard from 8th Avenue to the south about <br />82 feet,: which wo~ld provi9-e space for: three parking stalls. Company, had their assistant <br />engineer work with Eugene'straffi,c engineer to:make recommendations <br />c~nce~ning protecti9n_for Oregpn, Electric crossings inside Eugene. The <br />SPqcS set <?ut these_ recornI~J.(~ndattons in a letter addl;'essed to the public <br />works director (dated February 19, 1965) for crossbuck signs and ad- <br />vance warning and stop ~igns at the various crossings of the Oregon <br />,Elec~ric tracks. The Railway CQmpany asked assurance that:the City <br />~ould purc~ase, ~r~ct, and maintain the,stop and advance warning signs; <br />the Railway Company.will:furoish the crossbuck'signs. The public:works <br />department recommended authorization for the signing as set out by the <br />SP&S, i~cluding the City's prQviding the:stop:signs:at the Bethel Drive <br />crossing.
