The Public Works Department recommended.denial. <br />Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. Crakes to deny the request.- Motion carried. <br /> <br />2 11. Patent Case - The City Attorney recommended settlement <br />of the suit for, $400 brought by Dyeo; Inc., involving the City's use of a design for <br />picnic .table patented by a former City employee. Mr.. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Crakes <br />to settle for $400. E. ~ingzett, 2021 Floral <br />Hill Drive, expressing praise for the City's police department and its performance <br />in handling juveniles. <br /> <br />6 15. Widening 6th and 7th Avenues - A letter was read from Louise Smith, 2610 Oiive Street, <br />congratulatfhg the City.Council on dividing 6th and 7th. December ~~7. 1966 - Announcement was made of the I <br />annual convention of the National League of Cities to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada <br />on December 2-7, 1966. " <br /> <br />8 17. Biennial Conference of NAHRO - Announcement was made of the biennial conference of <br />the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials at the Eugene Hotel <br />on September 14-16, 1966. <br /> <br />9 18.
