<br />ment of $3,780.00. If allowed, the resulting assessments would be $1,457.69 against

<br />7. Audit Report - Winn &,Co., City auditors, requested Council approval of a letter to
<br />the Stat~Division of AU,dits requesting a 60-day extension beyond the January 1
<br />deadline for completion of audit of the City's books. The request is made to enable
<br />the auditors. to rev:iew previous' years assessm,ent re.cords. Mr.. McNutt moved seconded
<br />by Mr. Anderson to approve the 60-day extension request to the State. ,Motion carried.

<br />8. Washington-Jefferson Bridge - A questionnaire from the State Highway Department was
<br />read which asked the City to advise of any organizati,ons which m,ay .b~ opposed to .c,on-
<br />structii6n~of the proposed Washington-Jefferson Bridge on the grounds of interference
<br />with re~reationa1, historical, or pU,b1ic resources.' There b.eing none, except calling
<br />attention of the Stat~ to the Bridge.' s location with relation to Skinn~r,s Butte Park
<br />and Riverfront property in City ownership, Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Lassen
<br />to return the questionnaire in the negative. Motion carried.

<br />9. State Partic.ipation, Sewage Treatment Facilities -: A 1ett~r from Corn,e11, Howland,
<br />Hayes & M.erryfie1d adv.ised of in,creased federal part icipation in construc.tion cost
<br />of sewage treatment plants and main trunk lines. The Federal governlllent now will
<br />provide: up to 50% o.f the funds for such cons.truction, providing the State will a1,so
<br />share up: .to 25% of the cost. If. the State does not share.,: then the Federal assis.tance
<br />remains at 30%. Since State sharing up to 25% of the cost wi1~ r~uce the' City's
<br />portion from 70% to 25%, it was suggested State legislators be not~fied of, the City's
<br />desire for al10c.ation of State funds for participat.ion in the cost of sew.age treat-
<br />ment plant projects. Dr. P.urdy moved seconded by Mr.. Anderson to support legislation

<br />solved, construction can start immediately. "
