Sewer Agreement. Valley River Center - An agreement ?etween the City, Valley River Center, <br />and The MaY,Dep~rtment Stores ,Company was presented covering the following points: <br /> <br />. .. . <br />a. The City wili start construction no later than August 1, 1968 of a trunk.line to <br />provide sanitary sewer s~r~ice.to the Center, construction to be completed by <br />March 1, 1969. . <br /> <br />b. Upon completion of, th~ sewe~, ~he.Center will file a petition for a~nexation.to be <br />processed immediately, but annexation will not be completed until the Meier and Frank <br />store and the J. C. Penney store ~ave been placed on the Lane County ta~ rolis. <br /> <br />c. If sewer service is not 'ready by March 1, 1969, then the Center may construct its <br />own sewer facility and will not be required to annex to the City for five years. <br /> <br />d. The City will provide all other City services to the Center from the time the Center <br />commences use of the_City sewer, and, until annexation is completed, the Center will <br />pay to the City the equivalent of the ad ~alorem 'tax levied against the Center's <br />property. <br /> <br />e. The Center wd11l':pay the customary sewer assessmen~ and water u?er charges levied I <br />by the City. <br /> <br />f. If the Center constructs its own sewer facility, connection cannot be made'to the <br />. City sewer unless the Center annexes. to the.City. <br /> <br />g. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved se~onded by Mrs. Lauris to approve Item 2 of the Committee report. <br /> <br />Councilman Wingard again expressed concern with regard to the fire.rating and inquired about which <br />fire zone the C~nter would be under when co~pleted.
