Parking Prohibition, Garfield from 14th to 18th - The Public Works Department recom- mended approval of the University of Oregon request for parking prohibition on both sides of Garfield between 14th and 18th. Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Lassen to approve. Motion carried. 2 18': Parking Prohibition, Almaden south of 7th - The Public Works Department recommended approval of Pacific Northwest Bell's request to prohibit parking on the west side of Almaden Street for 240 feet south of 7th Avenue. Mr. McNutt moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve. Motion carried. 3 19. Parking Prohibition, 18th between Potter and University - Central Lutheran Church at 1857 Potter requested parking prohibition to give sight clearance for exiting from the alley on the south side of 18th between Potter and University. The Public Works Department recommended prohibition of parking for 55 feet beginning 135 feet east of Potter on the south side of 18th. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to approve. Motion carried. e 4 20. Parking Prohibition, 3rd and High - The Public Works Department recommended prohibition of parking for sight clearance on the south side of 3rd Avenue just east of High Street, and on the east side of High just north of 3rd. Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Dr Purdy to approve. Motion carried. 5 21. Parking Structure, 10th and Oak - The City Manager asked the Council's approval for I Norman Jacobson, previously selected architect, to proceed with design of the parking structure proposed for 10th and Oak if private funds are available. No public funds may be used unless pending Court action is favorable. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Hayward to proceed with design if private funds are available. Motion carried." Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to approve Items 13 through 21 of the Committee report. Motion carried. Mayor Cone returned to the meeting and assumed the Chair. v ORDINANCES 6 Council Bill No. 8200 - Rezone to R-3G conditionally area at 3007 Willamette Street (Richard Weaver), submitted and read the first time in full on October 23, 1967 and held pending completion of agreement on conditions of rezoning, is brought back for consideration with agreement attached. ,) Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of theCouncil.
