Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the rules be suspended time by council bill number only with unanimous consent of the Council. and the bill was read the third time by council bill number only. Roll- call vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 15694. Council Bill No. 8879 - Levying 3% Transient Room Tax as provided by Charter Amendment approved November 5, 1968 and to provide administrative procedures for collection was submitted and read in full. Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the second time by council bill number only. Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the rules be suspended and the bill be read the third time by council bill number only with unanimous consent of the Council. No. 14815, passed May 8, 1967, relating to procedure for cutting grass and weeds, collecting the cost therefore, and providing punishment for violation'thereof, and declaring an emergency was submitted and read in full. Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only with unanimous consent of the Council. Purdy that the rules be suspended and the bill be read the third time by council bill number only. Dr. Purdy asked, since the City will have to go ahead with cutting of weeds on June 1, if the charge will be increased. The City Manager said the charge is established in the existing ordinance, and therefore will remain in effect until F1fter the third.. reading haspas~ed. A new fee is proposec! which will be submitted by resolution. ~ .
