All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 15701. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />* The City Manager said that a communication had been received from the League of Oregon Cities <br />indicating that the Legislature has increased the city share of liquor revenues from 14% to 20%. <br />He asked if, in view of this, it would be desirable to: determine'whether these-funds should be taken <br />into account, and the proposed budget reduced by this amount, rather than appropriating these funds <br />for some other purpose. This amount would appear to be $90,000.00, which would reduce the amount of <br />increase per taxpayer to $2.06 per thousand for the percentage' outside the 6% limitation. <br /> <br />Mayor Anderson urged the Council to consider reducing the figure in submitting the proposal to the <br />voters, of authorization for the levy. <br /> <br />There was discussion concerning a report from the budget committee and adoption of the budget. <br /> <br />, \ <br /> <br />I Mrs. Beal moved seconded by Dr. Purdy that the levy to be submitted to the voters be reduced by the <br />II - amount of estimated increase in receipts from the liquor revenues. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Bill No. 8887 - Amending interest provision of Ordinances No. 15588, 15598, 15594, 15592, <br />I 15574, 15606, 15590, 15610 and 15608 to conform to interest bids received on warrants was submitted <br />and read in full. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~trs.
