Planning Commission held hearing <br />and recommended approval. No controversy in neighborhood, but state law requires <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to approve the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />in items 2A and 2B above. , <br /> <br />Mr. Dean Morrow spoke in favor of retaining Sunrise smnce the change to 19th woilild cause residents <br />much inconvenience. <br /> <br />Vote taken on motion as stated. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. Planning Commission Report, January 6, 1970 <br />A. Conditional Use PACT Action for Development - Atajoint meeting of the Council and <br />Planning Commission the City Attorney advised that this matter should be referred <br />back to the Planning Commission to give an opportunity for appeal, under provisions <br />of the ordinance. No action taken. <br /> <br />Since this matter was referred back to the ~lanning Commission, no action was taken at this time. <br /> <br />B. Recommended approval of vacations: <br />1. 43rd at northwest corner 43rd Avenue and Fox Hollow Road - Planning Commission <br />recommended approval. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague that the Council approve the recommended vacation of <br />43rd Avenue at the northwest corner 43rd and Fox Hollow Road. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Easement,'north of Dogwood, east of Kimberley (Tillman) to permit relocation of <br />land in a subdivision. <br /> <br />~r. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague that the Council approved the recommended vacation of <br />easement north of Dogwood, east of Kimberley. Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. Joint Housing Committee Re~ommendation, House Moving- Superintendent of Building <br />explained amendment of house moving ordinance has been discussed with Joint Housing <br />Committee, and it was found some requirements were too restrictive. Those relating <br />to inspection after relocation will be changed to comply only with requirements of <br />the housing code. Any new construction at the new location would still have to comply <br />with new construction requirements. <br /> <br />In answer to Dr. Purdy's concerns with compatibility with neighborhood and painting of <br />exterior, Mr. Mortier said these matters are already covered by amendment to the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />i: <br />I' <br />I. <br />I: <br />j; <br />Ii <br />ji <br />I' <br />i: <br />II <br />II <br />I, <br />I ~ <br /> <br />I, <br />I <br />, <br /> <br />No action taken at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to accept the recommendation and bring back an ordinance <br />indorporating the recommendation. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. Propo~ed Park Site - Mr. Paul R. Lafferty, 766 Crest Drive, has proposed to donate approx- <br />imately two acres of land to the City for future park site. Sewer assessments estimated <br />at $8,626 will have to be budgeted from the Parks Department in the .1970-71 budget. <br />Staff recommends approval of the dedication. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. Gribskov to accept this dedication with gratifude, <br />and provide for assessments from the 1970-71 ?udget. <br /> <br />After discussion, it was determined this matter should be referred to the Planning Commissio~ <br /> <br />1/26/70 - 4 <br /> <br />..olIIIIl <br />
