<br /> 12/9 2070 Cross, which is contributing to cleaner air through salvage of corrugated boxes
<br /> and other papeT products. Lane Air Pollution Authority is encouraging and sponsoring
<br /> this project.

<br /> Councilwoman Hayward commented that some student groups at the University have attempted
<br /> ii such a project, and perhaps they could work in conjunction with this operation in their
<br /> II money-raising project.

<br /> Councilman Mcdonald was concerned that this paper salvage material was being shipped
<br /> abroad, and felt it should be retained locally. The Ci ty Manager explained that the
<br /> material being picked up would ordinarily be burned at the sanitary landfill.

<br /> 12/9 have arranged a "Can-In" for Saturday morning to focus on problems of non-returnables
