Exceptions are the ,Planning Commission where considerable experience is required, and the Library ;Board where other Board members requested reappointment of Mr. Atkinson and ,Mrs. Keever because of a study in progress which will likely continue for another tsix months. .} : Mr. Williams moved seconded by Mrs. Bea1 to make the appointments as recommended. Appointment, Budget Committee - Councilman Wood recommended Mary Hudzikiewicz, '1915 West 28th Avenue, as a member of the Budget Committee for the balance of the term ending December 31, 1974, replacing Ralph Cobb, resigned. /~. Mrs. Bea1 moved seconded by Mrs. Williams to make the appointment as recommended.' Motion carried unanimously. Comm' 1/3/73 Approve - - .-. c.De1etion of Cul-de-sac, Portland between 29th and 29th Place - Planning Commission' :previous1y recommended construction of a cul-de-sac on Portland between 29th and 129th Place, cost to be assessed against benefiting properties, as a condition of I !rezoning to RG certain properties on the east side of Portland Street. Since that i time a barricade has been erected at Crest Drive to prohibit through traffic. No agreement has been reached among residents in the area with regard to further barri- cading for diverting traffic or for noise control, and there is still considerable disagreement in the neighborhood with regard to closure of the street with or without the requested rezoning. Jack OUConnor is now requesting reconsideration of conditions of rezoning.
