Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Beal wondered whether a list of future appointees, especially new <br />ones, could be made available to Council members before the appointments were <br />made. Mayor Anderson explained that these appointments were made quickly be- <br />cause of forthcoming meetings of the various bodies. <br /> <br />'. <br />P. -j~i?olntmerii:., Room Tax Allocation 'Advisory Coinmittee- Mayor Anderson's reappoint- <br />ment of Edwin E. Cone, 2130 Olive Street, as a member of the Room Tax Allocation <br />Commi ttee for the term ending January 1, 1977 was announced. Mr. Hershner moved . <br />seconded by 'Mrs. Campbell to affirm the reappointment. Motion carried unanimously ~l <br /> <br />Q. Citizens Advisory Commi~tee, Tree Preservation Ordinance - Councilman Wood, chair- <br />man of the Council subcommitt~e appointed to make recommendations on an ordinance <br />regulating cutting or removal of trees, announced the appointment of a citizens! <br />advisory committee. He explained that creation of a citizens group seemed.a de- <br />sirable way to expedite adoption of an equitable ordinance. The advisory com- <br />. mittee's charge was to review testimony submitted to the Council, the proposed <br />. ordinance (previously considered by the Council and referred back to the subcom- <br />: mittee), similar ordinances in other cities, staff recommendations, legal aspects, <br />, and any other pertinent or related material, returning a report to the subcommittee; <br />within 30 days.
