- e e Ms. Ehrman moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, to amend the motion to direct preparation of an ordinance authorizing a monthly local sewer rate of $6.13 for FY88 and FY89. Mr. Miller discussed the vote on the original motion that passed. Replying to his question, Mr. Bennett said he will support the amendment. The amendment carried 7:1 with Councilors Holmer, Schue, Wooten, Bascom, Rutan, Miller, and Bennett voting aye and Councilor Ehrman voting nay. Later in the meeting, after the City Attorney prepared the ordinance in accordance with the council's direction, the council considered it. CB 2965--An ordinance concerning rates and charges for sanitary sewer service and storm sewer services; amending Section 7.020 of the Eugene Code, 1971; and declaring an emergency. Ms. Ehrman moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of the council, and that enactment be considered at this time. Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 8:0. Council Bill 2965 was read the second time by council bill number only. Ms. Ehrman moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, that the bill be approved and given final passage. Roll call vote; all councilors present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and because Ordinance No. 19482). V. Ms. Ehrman moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, to adopt the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission budget for FY88. Roll call vote; the motion carried uanimously, 8:0.
