2005 Legislative Session IGR Commitee Bill Approval May 23, 2005 <br /> <br /> Permits court to award punitive damages to whistleblower in civil action against public <br /> SB 0790 3 Support employer. 3/31 <br /> Directs Public Utility Commission to replace all intrastate, interexchange toll routes with <br /> statewide flat rate interexchange service. Establishes Toll-free Calling Fund. Appropriates <br /> moneys from fund to commission for payment to telecommunications providers for costs <br /> SB 0794 3 Support incurred in providing toll-free calling within state. 3/24 <br /> Directs elections filing officers to inspect and examine political contribution and expenditure <br /> statements not later than 20 business days after filing deadline or date statement is filed, <br /> whichever is later. Directs filing officers to notify person required to file statement not later than <br /> 30 business days after filing deadline or date statement is filed, whichever is later, if statement <br /> has not been filed, if statement is insufficient or if complaint has been received. Prohibits <br /> Secretary of State from imposing civil penalty related to contribution or expenditure statement if <br /> SB 0796 3 Support filing officer did not notify person required to file statement within specified time period. 5/12 <br /> Reduces blood alcohol content that constitutes being under influence of intoxicants to 0.04 <br /> percent for persons who previously have participated in diversion program or been convicted of <br /> driving while under influence of intoxicants. Expands obligations of health care provider <br /> SB 0821 3 Support providing medical care to person involved in motor vehicle accident. 4/07 <br /> Directs all candidates and political committees to file electronic statements of contributions <br /> received and expenditures made with Secretary of State not later than seven business days <br /> after contribution is received or expenditure made. Directs secretary to make contribution and <br /> expenditure data available to public on Internet according to schedule adopted by secretary by <br /> SB 0822 3 Support rule. Sets January 1, 2007, operative date.
