2005 Legislative Session IGR Commitee Bill Approval May 23, 2005 Requires contractor and subcontractors on public works project to pay state prevailing wage rates or federal prevailing wage rates, whichever are higher, when project is subject to state HB 2710 2 Support and federal prevailing wage rate laws. 4/21 Establishes procedures by which school district may obtain voter approval to enact local option ~ncome, sales and other taxes. Provides that procedures do not apply to local option property HB 2721 2 Support taxes. Excepts local option tax revenues from offset against State School Fund grants. 4/07 Eliminates authority for city to veto incorporation of proposed city within three miles. Modifies circumstances in which county must reject proposed incorporation of city pursuant to written HB 2722 2 Oppose objection of city within three miles. 4/07 Provides that home address, home telephone number and electronic mail address of public HB 2724 2 Support safety officer are exempt from disclosure. 3/31 Imposes fee for issuance of first Oregon certificate of title. Requires applicants to appear in person at public meetings. Requires identities of applicants to be HB 2830 2 Oppose provided to news media. Applies to state, county and city Adopt-a-Highway programs. 3/24 HB 2831 2 Support Allows municipal courts to assign judgments in criminal actions to Department of Revenue. 3/24 Provides that school zone speed limit applies between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on highways with HB 2840 2 Support/Am authorized speed of 30 miles per hour or less. 4/07 14
