2005 Legislative Session IGR Commitee Bill Approval May 23, 2005 <br /> <br /> { - Provides that school zone speed limit applies between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on highways with <br /> authorized speed of 30 miles per hour or less. - } { + Provides that school zone speed limit in <br /> school zone adjacent to school grounds applies when flashing light indicates children may be <br /> arriving at or leaving school or, if school zone does not have flashing light, between 7 a.m. and <br /> 5 p.m. on day school is in session. Provides that school zone speed limit applies in school <br /> zones not adjacent to school grounds when flashing light indicates children may be arriving at <br /> or leaving school or, if school zone does not have flashing light, when children are present. <br /> HB 2840A 2 Support/Am Takes effect July 1, 2006. + } 5/12 <br /> Appropriates moneys from General Fund to Department of Education for State School Fund. <br /> Limits biennial expenditures of lottery funds allocated to department for State School Fund. <br /> Limits biennial expenditures of department from timber tax funds and accounts. Establishes <br /> maximum amount department may spend from State School Fund each fiscal year of <br /> biennium. Appropriates moneys from General Fund to department for Local Option <br /> HB 2858 2 Support Equalization Grants Account. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2005. 4/07 <br /> Applies laws that prohibit discrimination against disabled persons to employers that employ 15 <br /> HB 2873 2 Oppose or more persons, rather than six or more persons. 4/07 <br /> Establishes Waste Tire Recycling Board. Directs board to develop and administer tire <br /> recycling program. Imposes fee on retail sale of new tires. Directs revenue from fees to Waste <br /> Tire Recycling Fund. Specifies purposes of Waste Tire Recycling Fund. Continuously <br /> HB 2906 2 Support appropriates moneys in Waste Tire Recycling Fund to Waste Tire Recycling Board. 4/14 <br /> Prohibits public body from substantially burdening person's free exercise of religion, including <br /> when burden results from application of rule of general applicability, unless public body meets <br /> burdens of providing evidence and persuading trier of fact that imposition of burden furthers <br /> compelling government interest and is least restrictive means of furthering that compelling <br /> government interest. Provides that prohibition does not apply to burden imposed on person due <br /> to application of certain land use statutes, goals or regulations. Authorizes civil action for <br /> HB 2912 2 Oppose violation of Act. 3/24 <br /> Appropriates moneys from General Fund to Oregon Government Standards and Practices <br /> Commission for biennial expenses. Limits biennial expenditures from fees, moneys or other <br /> revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, <br /> HB 2939 2 Support collected or received by commission.
