2005 Legislative Session IGR Commitee Bill Approval May 23, 2005 <br /> <br /> Creates tax credit for cost taxpayer actually paid for providing home purchase assistance to <br /> employee of taxpayer. Applies to costs actually paid for home purchase assistance in tax years <br /> HB 2417 3 Oppose beginning on or after January 1, 2006. 2~24 <br /> Expands state no call program and regulation of unlawful telephone solicitations to include all <br /> telephone customers of telecommunications companies. Authorizes Attorney General to <br /> designate federal do not call registry in lieu of contracting for administration of separate state <br /> registry. Requires Attorney General, if requested, to instruct party on how to register with <br /> HB 2424 3 Support federal agency that maintains federal registry. Declares emergency, effective on passage. 2/17 <br /> Creates crime of unlawful marketing of tobacco products. Punishes by maximum one year's <br /> HB 2432 3 Monitor imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both. 3/17 <br /> Modifies rulemaking authority of Land Conservation and Development Commission related to <br /> HB 2438 3 Oppose exceptions to statewide land use planning goals. 3/09 <br /> Directs Department of Revenue to establish and promote voluntary compliance initiative for <br /> taxpayers who utilize abusive tax avoidance transactions to underreport personal income or <br /> corporate income or excise taxes. Establishes reporting and registration requirements and <br /> enhanced penalties for persons who use abusive tax avoidance transactions, or who serve as <br /> material advisors for certain transactions. Extends period for which notice of deficiency may be <br /> issued in cases in which returns reflect use of abusive tax avoidance transactions. Imposes tax <br /> return preparer penalties on preparers who prepare returns that reflect use of abusive tax <br /> shelters or who willfully or recklessly disregard tax laws. Directs Department of Revenue to <br /> establish general tax amnesty program of limited duration. Waives penalties for taxpayers that <br /> pay outstanding taxes. Increases penalties on taxpayers who fail to fully participate. Takes <br /> HB 2455 3 Support effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die. 2/24 <br /> Grants reciprocity to persons holding concealed handgun licenses or permits issued by other <br /> HB 2456 3 Oppose states. 3/09 <br /> HB 2463 3 Oppose Exempts unemployment benefits from state personal income tax. 3/09 <br /> Creates crime of interfering with service of document. Punishes by maximum of one year's <br /> HB 2464 3 Support imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both. 3/09 <br /> Allows use of ground water without compliance with registration, certificate or permit <br /> requirements for watering lawns, grounds or fields of public or private kindergarten through <br /> HB 2473 3 Oppose grade 12 schools. 3/09 <br /> Requires majority of votes cast in territory proposed to be annexed and majority of votes cast <br /> in city or district to approve annexation plan under which city or district may annex territory <br /> HB 2484 3 Monitor within urban growth boundary. 3/09 <br /> <br /> 39 <br /> <br /> <br />
