<br />- <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />You are asked to approve changes to Eugene Code sections 2.155 and 2.330 which <br />state requirements for membership on the two commissions. The proposed <br />changes are: <br /> <br />2.155 Downtown Commission - Membership; Term; Vacancies. <br /> <br />(1) The commission shall consist of nine voting members to be <br />[interviewed and] appointed by the council, and two ex officio nonvoting <br />members [,] to be appointed by the city manager [or his/her designee <br />and the executive director, to be appointed by the city manager]. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2.330 Planning Commission - Membership; Term; Vacancies; Etc. <br /> <br />(1) The commission shall consist of seven voting [nine] members <br />to be appointed by the council [.] and two ex officio nonvotin members <br />to be appointed by the city manager. Not more than two members of the <br />commission may be city officers, who shall serve as ex officio nonvoting <br />members]. <br />(2) The voting [M] members of the commission shall hold office <br />for four years texcept city officers appointed as ex officio members shall hold <br />office at the pleasure of the council]. <br /> <br />These code changes would make the language concerning ex officio members <br />consistent for the two commissions and would allow the City Manager to make <br />the ex officio appointments as proposed above. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Page-Z <br />
