Mr. Miller wondered if <br /> there are reasons for not reappointing present members and if there is a <br /> danger in people assuming they will be reappointed. <br /> Mayor Obie said the council has reappointed present members without interviews <br /> in the past. <br /> In the past, Ms. Schue had found interviews with present members of City <br /> organizations informative. She expected to vote for Mr. Schwartz and <br /> Mr. Owens, but she would like to interview them. <br /> The motion carried 5:4 after Mayor Obie voted to break a tie. <br /> Mr. Hansen, Mr. Rutan, Mr. Holmer, Mr. Miller, and Mayor Obie <br /> voted aye. Ms. Schue, Ms. Wooten, Ms. Bascom, and Ms. Ehrman <br /> voted nay. <br /> Mr. Whitlow read the list of candidates who had received the most votes and <br /> the councilors voted again for two people to be interviewed. <br /> Ms. Wooten announced the following results of the voting: <br /> Name Number of Votes <br /> Julie Aspinwall-Lambert 4 <br /> Beatrice Bridgeman 3 <br />e steve Caffery 3 <br /> David Funk 3 <br /> Christine Miller 2 <br /> Ronald Gietter 1 <br /> Ms. Wooten moved, seconded by Mr. Hansen, to interview the four <br /> top-vote-getting candidates.
