PUBLIC HEARING: EXPANSION OF MULTIPLE-UNIT RENTAL PROPERTY TAX <br />EXEMPTION BOUNDARY <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />City Manager Mike Gleason introduced the topic. Richie Weinman, Planning and <br />Development Department, presented the staff report. A request from an owner <br />of property located on the northeast corner of 14th Avenue and Patterson <br />Street has resulted in a recommendation to expand the boundary of the Multi- <br />ple-Unit Rental Housing Property Exemption district. An expansion to include <br />that parcel as well as all medium- and high-density residentially zoned areas <br />of the west university neighborhood was unanimously recommended by the Plan- <br />ning Commission and supported by the Historic Review Board without a formal <br />vote. <br /> <br />Jenny Sirnio, Planning Commission member, said the Planning Commission sup- <br />ported the inclusion of the medium- and high-density residentially zoned <br />areas. ' <br /> <br />Mayor Miller opened the public hearing. There being no requests to speak, <br />the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br />CB 4372--An ordinance expanding the boundaries for the Multi- <br />Unit Property Tax Exemption Program; amending Section <br />2.945 of the Eugene Code, 1971; and declaring an <br />emergency. <br /> <br />Mr. Boles moved, seconded by Mr. Green, that the bill, with <br />unanimous consent of the council be read the second time by <br />council bill number only, and that enactment be considered at <br />this time.
