<br />Lloyd Jackson of 440 North Polk Street spoke wondering how much . <br />of his property could be assessed if a future sewer line were <br />constructed. Mr. Teitzel explained that according to city re- <br />cords Mr. Jackson's property had been assessed at this time for <br />16,421 square feet and there would be approximately 118 square <br />feet of his property which could be assessed at the time of any <br />future sewer line installation on Polk Street. <br /> <br />Recommendation: Levy assessments as proposed. <br /> <br />M. National League of Cities Convention Delegates--In connection <br />with the National League of Cities convention, Manager an- <br />nounced that he had recommended the name of Jack Delay to serve <br />on the Environmental Committee. He also announced that Council <br />members Bradley and Delay were planning to attend the conven- <br />tion as well as himself. <br /> <br />Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to name Mr. Delay <br />as the official delegate to the National League of <br />Cities convention with Mr. Bradley as alternate. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Public <br />Hearing <br /> <br />II. Appeal of Denial for 1976-77 Commerical Solicitor License-Alan Niederauer <br />February 1 memo from Finance Department has been distributed to Council. - <br /> <br />Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to schedule a <br />public hearing on the matter for February 14, 1977. <br /> <br />In answer to Mr. Haws, Finance Director said appellant had <br />received the same information given to Council regarding <br />reasons for the denial of the license.
