2005 Legislative Session IGR Committee Bill Approval June 13, 2005 <br /> <br /> Entitles contractor on public contract or contractor's surety to recover from <br /> Commissioner of Bureau of Labor and Industries reasonable attorney fees, expert <br /> witness fees, costs and disbursements and any other costs and expenses incurred by <br /> contractor and contractor's surety in investigating, responding to and resolving claim <br /> against contractor's payment bond if commissioner's actual recovery from <br /> contractor's payment bond, through settlement, civil action or otherwise, is less than <br /> SB 0707 2 Oppose 90 percent of amount of claim stated in notice of claim. 3/24 <br /> Defines isolated wetlands and marginal wetlands for purposes of regulation of <br /> removal and filling of material. Allows removal and filling of material in certain isolated <br /> and marginal wetlands and in wetlands of less than one acre in size to occur without <br /> permit. Allows city with population of 50,000 or fewer persons to develop approval or <br /> denial procedures for development permits, building permits or actions that affect <br /> SB 0710 2 Oppose marginal and isolated wetlands. Declares emergency, effective on passage. 3/09 <br /> Transfers functions relating to management of wetlands, removal of materials from <br /> beds or banks of waters of state and filling of waters of state from Department of <br /> SB 0711 2 Oppose State Lands to State Department of Agriculture. 3/09 <br /> Directs office of State Fire Marshal to adopt fire safety standards for cigarettes. <br /> Requires cigarette manufacturer to certify that manufacturer's cigarettes meet fire <br /> safety standards before cigarettes may be sold in state. Appropriates moneys to <br /> office of State Fire Marshal for establishing fire safety standards for cigarettes. <br /> SB 0738 2 Support Imposes civil penalties. Declares emergency, effective on passage. 3/17 <br /> { - Directs office of State Fire Marshal to adopt fire safety standards for cigarettes. <br /> Requires cigarette manufacturer to certify that manufacturer's cigarettes meet fire <br /> safety standards before cigarettes may be sold in state. - } { - Appropriates moneys to <br /> office of State Fire Marshal for establishing fire safety standards for cigarettes. - } { - <br /> Imposes civil penalties. - } { + Directs State Fire Marshal to test each variety of <br /> cigarette sold in state to determine if variety is fire-safe and to publish list of varieties <br /> determined to be fire-safe. Allows State Fire Marshal to impose <br /> civil penalties for unlawful distribution or sale.
