Public Hearing: Street Vacation (McClarey)(SV 78-5)(map distributed). <br /> <br />Manager noted this vacation concerned Jessen Street vacation, the 16th <br />such vacation the Council has gone through on this street. A public <br />utility and pedestrian-bicycle easement are being retained by the City. <br />The matter has been reviewed by the Planning Commission and was approved <br />unanimously on Janaury 8, 1979. <br /> <br />Public Hearing was held with no testimony presented. <br /> <br />C.B.1880--Authorizing street vacation located north of Cody Avenue, <br />between Wisconsin and Dakota Streets and retaining a public <br />utility and pedestrian/bicycle easement over the area was <br />read by council bill number and title only, there being no <br />Councilor present requesting it be read in full. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Haws, that the bill be read the <br />second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of <br />the Council, and that enactment be considered at this time. <br />Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the second time <br />by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Haws, that the bill be approved <br />and given final passage. Consideration of Business License Fee Increase Request (memo, ordinance <br />distributed). <br /> <br />Manager explained the ordinance showed the fee changes and the memorandum <br />explained the changes. There will be $13,000 or $14,000 in additional <br />revenues next year. Business license applications are mailed out at this <br />time of year; and, therefore, it is desirable for Council to act on the <br />matter by its next meeting, May 2. <br /> <br />By consensus, a public hearing on this item was scheduled at Council's <br />Wednesday, May 2,1979, meeting at 11:45 a.m., Council Chamber. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />4/25/79--5 <br /> <br />2~ <br />
