RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />A. Res. No. 3166--Concerning room tax funds and supplementing Res. No. <br />3046 adopted by the City Council on November 15, 1978, <br />was read by number and title only. <br /> <br />Manager said that, during discussion at Room Tax Committee meeting <br />last May 2, 1979, it was concluded that, instead of offering the full <br />25 percent of current recommended tax funds to the Chamber of Commerce, <br />that the allotment, under the resolution of an exclusive vendor, <br />should contain an increase equivalent to the general overall City <br />budget increase of about 7.8 percent. . Resolution 3046 specifies the <br />exact dollar amount, and would need amendment, and Resolution 3166 <br />amends the amount to $59,110.20. Manager said that there will have to <br />be a request for an amendment again next year. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieuallen asked if the resolution could be made permanent, and <br />City Attorney said that Council cannot commit future councils to a <br />level of expenditure. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />6/11/79--5 <br /> <br />3ZS <br /> <br />, <br />
