All my comments from last <br /> year still stand. A few additional specifics from this year: <br /> (1)Routinely, I hear nothing about most of the items I raise in my 1-on-1 meetings unless I bring <br /> them up again in a 2nd and even 3rd monthly meeting. <br /> (2)The manager announced the ICMA/PERF review contract as a done deal and then went to <br /> Council to ask for the $100K+ to do it. This was backward and marginalizing. Since the request <br /> involved substantial unbudgetedfunds, the manager put Council in an almost impossible <br /> situation by announcing the contract to the press before consulting with Council. <br /> (3)Good news: I'm not getting as many surprises when I open the newspaper as the previous <br /> year. However, there have still been instances of this. For example, last fall when problems came <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
