Package B, like every investment package, will create <br />jobs associated with construction, may leverage discretionary federal funding, and improve safety and <br />mobility. In addition, this package is characterized by the following: <br /> An estimated $3.0 million annual increase in operating cost would result in an estimated <br />576,000, for a cost of $5.21 per added trip. <br /> Total travel time savings for both existing and new riders as a result of travel time savings <br />associated with Package B are estimated at 640,900 hours per year. <br /> Package B would improve system reliability by constructing additional bus priority/exclusivity. In <br />total, 18.3% (9.29 miles) of package corridor lengths would feature bus priority/exclusivity. <br /> Package B would implement moderate safety improvements for motor vehicles, bicycles, and <br />pedestrians on three corridors and greater safety improvements on one corridor, for a total of <br />four corridors. <br /> Transit investments support transit oriented development.
