A~ s~ch, the service will start to attract mom riders. As the time between buses <br />uS~g the BRT corridor diminishes, so to does the need for using a schedule. Connecting viable <br />nodes along the BRT co~dor creates the ability for mom ride~ to use the service to g~t to and <br />from the destinations they Want to go to. <br /> <br />Transportation Demand Management (TD3,0 ~ TDM is the essential management of information <br />that can be provided to prOspective users of alternative means of transportation to diminish their <br />reliance on driving to and from destinations Via their own automohiles~ An essential component in <br />establiSh~g TDM programs is marketing. The more attractive TDM options become, the easier <br />they are to use; however, in order to be used the public needs to be made aware that various <br />prOgrams, facilities and ser~4ces exist. Nodal development coupled with TDM marketing and <br />serVices effectively reduces the reliance of single occupancy automobile trips. <br /> <br />Priori~~ Bikeway Miles - Priority bikeway projects consist of those projects that are along an <br />essential core route on which the overall s~te~ depends, fill in a critic~I gap in the existing <br />bicycle system, or overcome a barrier Wh~re no other nearby existing or p~:o~ammed bikeway <br />alternatives ex~st (e.g., river~ major street, highway), or si~ficantly improve bicycle users safety <br />in a gNen corridor..As such, theY are the ke~ additions to ~e bikev ay S~stem that support nodal <br />development and an increase in the use of this altematNe mode~ <br /> <br />C. Analysm <br /> The assessment of compliance below focuses on the five objectives listed in the TPR. <br /> <br /> ective A: Achieving the alternative standard will result in a reduction in reliance <br /> on automobiles. <br /> <br /> The plan's perforrnance on this objective can be measured using the Travel Response <br /> performance measures.
