RP fells it's because he's Hispanic <br />looking. <br />Sgt. was unable to identify the officer involved and RP did not <br />return voicemails seeking further clarification. <br />9/27/18 10/1/18 4 Performance RP reported she could not get a call back <br />from an officer handling her case. <br />Sgt. learned that the officer had been out on vacation and when <br />he had returned and tried to contact RP various times the phone <br />rang and rang with no voicemail option. <br />9/14/18 9/28/18 14 Inquiry <br />Dismissed: <br />Other <br />RP reported an officer harassing his <br />family and showing up were they were <br />at. <br />Dismissed: Other <br />9/29/18 10/8/18 9 Policy RP a loss prevention specialist was upset <br />that they have not been able to <br />prosecute shop lifters as EPD is too busy <br />to come when they have apprehended a <br />suspect. <br />Sgt. spoke with RP about EPD's staffing issues and what solutions <br />that were in the pipeline, such as the new full time employee <br />hires that should begin to alleviate the situation. <br />10/4/18 10/8/18 4 Performance RP reported an officer who was rude and <br />dismissive when told about an elderly <br />vet that had fallen down a hill. The <br />officer said an ambulance would be <br />dispatched but one did not show up. <br />After review of Bodycam by the Auditor's Officer of the incident <br />no policy violations were seen as the officer called for medical <br />help and an ambulance arrived within 5 minutes and was unable <br />to find the injured man. It was learned that the man's family <br />arrived and transported him to the hospital. <br />10/4/18 10/8/18 4 Courtesy RP complained to a supervisor about a <br />rude comment an officer typed into his <br />in-car computer. <br />Sgt. spoke with RP and reviewed the communication in question <br />on the screen and found that it was not within EPD's courtesy <br />policy. Sgt. spoke with the officer as the RP had requested. <br />10/4/18 10/10/18 6 Policy RP was upset that EPD would not come <br />out and make a report about his traffic <br />accident. <br />Sgt. spoke with RP and outlined EPD's policy regarding response <br />to traffic accidents. <br />10/5/18 10/8/18 3 Policy RP reported a police vehicle blocking the <br />road without lights activated. <br />Review of time and location provided by RP found no patrol <br />vehicle checked out at the location. RP did not leave name or <br />contact info for a call back. <br />June 19, 2019, Work Session – Item 2
