Sgt. spoke with RP to verify. <br />6/18/18 7/5/18 17 Policy RP inquired into EPD's policy of releasing <br />a DUII driver after an accident in which <br />there had been a fatality. <br />Sgt. left a messaging with RP detailing situations where an <br />immediate arrest might not take place. <br />6/18/18 7/18/18 <br />30 <br />Inquiry RP felt he could not get anyone at EPD to <br />take seriously an issue he was having <br />with a juvenile on parole who had <br />previous assaulted him. <br />Supervisor reached out to RP and spoke with him about his <br />concerns. <br />6/15/18 6/26/18 11 Performance <br />Dismissed: <br />Timeliness <br />RP alleged officers would not look into a <br />drug dealer who was threatening him <br />with a gun. <br />Dismissed: Timeliness <br />6/25/18 8/7/18 42 Performance RP felt an officer was trespassing her due <br />to her race. <br />Sgt. found that the officer had been dispatched to the location <br />because of a complaint with no knowledge of the race of the <br />person involved. The owner of the property had asked RP to <br />leave and RP refused. No policy violations by the officer. Sgt. <br />spoke with RP. <br />6/21/18 7/26/18 35 Performance RP reported an off duty officer at the <br />court house parking in a reserved space. <br />Sgt. spoke with the officer about the concern, and explained that <br />in future he needed to use a metered spot or a patrol vehicle <br />when attending court. <br />6/21/18 7/31/18 40 Performance RP was unhappy that an officer used her <br />business driveway to make a traffic stop. <br />Sgt. reviewed body cam of the stop and found that the vehicles <br />were off to one side of the driveway and not completely blocking <br />it. Sgt. spoke with RP about the stop and that the officer had not <br />violated policy, but would pass along her request that stops were <br />not conducted in her driveway if possible. <br />6/21/18 7/16/18 25 Courtesy RP was unhappy that an officer <br />threatened her with a citation for the <br />misuse of 911. <br />Sgt. reviewed bodycam and found that RP had called in two <br />separate false reports to 911, during the second contact RP was <br />informed of the misuse of 911 law and advised she could receive <br />a citation. No policy violations by the officer. RP did not return <br />calls by the Sgt. <br />June 19, 2019, Work Session – Item 2
