Sgt. spoke with RP's mother, and left a <br />message for RP. <br />8/29/18 9/11/18 12 Conduct RP reported being intimidated by EPD <br />officers and that during his arrest he was <br />inappropriately touched. <br />Review by Internal Affairs and the Auditor's Office of police <br />reports, body cams and ICV's found no merit to RP's allegations. <br />8/30/18 9/4/18 4 Inquiry RP reported getting the run around <br />when he tried to get records involving a <br />citation he was issued. <br />Supervisor contacted RP and provide RP the information needed <br />to proceed with his records request. <br />8/24/18 9/4/18 10 Policy RP was unhappy that a prohibited <br />camping violation was given. <br />Sgt. reviewed the incident and found that the occupants of the <br />vehicle admitted to camping illegally in the city. No policy <br />violations were made by the officer. Sgt. spoke with RP about the <br />findings. <br />8/31/18 9/4/18 4 Other <br />Dismissed: <br />Other <br />RP asked for a supervisor to file a <br />complaint, but due to RP's disorderly <br />behavior, RP was taken directly to <br />segregation at the jail. <br />Dismissed: Other Per Auditor will be reopened <br />if RP makes contact. <br />9/4/18 10/5/18 31 Performance RP was unhappy that his ex-wife was not <br />arrested after trespassing on his <br />property. <br />Sgt. reviewed body cam of the officer's investigation and found <br />that they correctly identified probable cause for the trespassing <br />and cited RP's ex-wife in lieu of arrest. No policy violations were <br />found. Sgt. spoke with RP about the findings. <br />9/5/18 9/6/18 1 Conduct <br />Dismissed: <br />Other <br />RP reported an officer who he felt <br />pressured him to confess to stealing <br />from his landlord and then arrested him <br />without proof. <br />Dismissed: Other Review by Auditor of <br />police report and body cam found that the officer completed a <br />through investigation and developed probable cause to arrest RP <br />for theft. <br />9/4/18 9/6/18 2 Performance <br />Dismissed: <br />Other <br />RP complained about the level of service <br />he received from EPD because they <br />called him back from a blocked number <br />and did not handle a dispute he was in <br />the way he expected. <br />Dismissed: Other Auditor's review of police report <br />found that EPD officers had handled the incident appropriately. <br />No policy violations found. <br />June 19, 2019, Work Session – Item 2
