· Regarding the minutes of November 29, Councilor Bettman asked that paragraph 9 on page 3 be <br /> changed to read "...in public workplaces..." rather than "...in public and work places..." <br /> <br />Councilor Nathanson offered the following minutes corrections: <br /> <br />· Referring to the minutes of November 13, Councilor Nathanson said that the word "ordinance" in <br /> paragraph 11 should be replaced by "penalty." <br /> <br />· Councilor Nathanson asked that paragraph 3 on page 7 of the minutes of November 15 be <br /> modified by replacing the word "audience" with the phrase "different audiences." <br /> <br />· Referring to page 2 of the minutes of November 27, Councilor Nathanson asked that the minutes <br /> be revised by replacing the phrase "hauler's return on investment" with "...implementing a <br /> system that would support a reasonable return on investment." <br /> <br />In addition to minutes corrections, Councilor Nathanson also suggested the following clarifications <br />to the record: <br /> <br />· For the minutes of November 13, Councilor Nathanson suggested the following substitute text for <br /> paragraph 5 on page 5: "Councilor Nathanson commented about the ramifications of <br /> Ballot Measure 7, potentially involving more than traditional land use and zoning code <br /> changes." <br /> <br />Councilor Rayor offered the following minutes corrections: <br /> <br />· Referring to page 6 of the minutes of November 13, Councilor Rayor asked that third sentence in <br /> paragraph 2 be replaced by the following text: "He said the idea behind the amendments <br /> was to get people to park their cars in the garages downtown and to get people to walk <br /> around the rest of downtown." <br /> <br />Regarding item B on the Consent Calendar, Councilor Kelly said that he had a question that he <br />had raised with the City Manager related to a modification to penalties for posting signs such that <br />the responsible party would be held responsible. <br /> <br />City Manager Jim Johnson said that the question was on the agenda for after the first of the year. <br /> <br />Regarding Item b, Councilor Pap8 said that he had a timing conflict for the meeting on January 27, <br />and would like that meeting to be removed from the tentative schedule. <br /> <br /> Roll call vote; the motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />III.PUBLIC HEARING AND ACTION: A Resolution Adopting a Supplemental Budget; Making <br /> Appropriations for the City of Eugene for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2000 and <br /> Ending June 30, 2001. <br /> <br />Mayor Torrey opened the public hearing.
