As long as the neighborhood remains organized and actively involved <br />tA 5etVtR~ €ij~~eAt ~~eBteffi5 with current issues or in developing any <br />part of a plan, it will continue to be recognized. <br /> <br />Section 2. Function and Responsibilities of Neighborhood Organizations. <br /> <br />a. Neighborhood organizations will be advisory to the City Council, aRe <br />Planning Comnission, and other city boards~ eOl77lTl1~ssior:3~ and officials <br />on matters affecting ~he gP8wth af ~eYete~ffie~t sf their neighborhoods. <br />With the assistance of professional staff, subject to their avail- <br />ability, the neighborhood organization may develop neighborhood plans <br />and proposals with respect to land use, zoning, parks, open space and <br />recreation, annexation, housing, community facilities, transportation <br />and tra ffi c, puhlic safety., sanitation., and other faet8fS af~eettR9 <br />tAe t~vaattt~y Sf aetivities and public services which affeet their <br />neighborhoods. <br /> <br />b. Neighborhood organizations may address themselves to ~Zl matters <br />which affect them and may establish relations~ not in conf1iet with <br />city-neighborhood relations set forth in this Policy~ with any ageney <br />or jurisdict'ion with whieh they have mutual COneeYflS.
