Mayor Torrey determined there was no objection to the request and ordered the minutes to be <br />revised. <br /> <br />Ms. Taylor requested that sentence 2 of paragraph 8 on page 7 of the minutes of the July 8, <br />1998, Lunch Work Session be amended, as follows: <br /> <br /> She said representatives of the City should suggest to persons living in <br /> vehicles who have families that they should approach the~ them for <br /> permission to camp on their back yards. <br /> <br />Mayor Torrey determined there was no objection to the request and ordered the minutes to be <br />revised. <br /> <br />Ms. Taylor requested that the final sentence of paragraph 8 on page 7 of the minutes of the July <br />8, 1998, Lunch Work Session be amended, as follows: <br /> <br /> ~:~'~,,,,~ jw~:~'~° ~,,~'~"'~ r-,~w~ ~': .... ~',v ,,.~.::"~ She said that if it is true that the city of Springfield <br /> did not ban camping on its streets, representatives of the city of Eugene <br /> should suggest that people sleep there. <br /> <br />Mayor Torrey determined there was no objection to the request and ordered the minutes to be <br />revised. <br /> <br />Ms. Taylor requested that paragraph 4 on page 8 of the minutes of the July 22, 1998, Dinner <br />Work Session be amended, as follows: <br /> <br /> Ms. Taylor expressed ~,~ppeic,~m~mt disapproval that the Celebration's name <br /> has been changed and also that an entry fee has been impese~ raised for <br /> political parade entries, adding that she believes this is inconsistent with the <br /> principal of campaign finance reform. <br /> <br />Mayor Torrey determined there was no objection to the request and ordered the minutes to be <br />revised. <br /> <br />Mr. Meisner noted that page 4 of the minutes of the July 29, 1998, Lunch Work Session was <br />missing in the document distributed with the agenda of the meeting and that their approval would <br />include approval of the missing page which had been electronically transmitted to councilors <br />following the original distribution. <br /> <br />Ms. Taylor requested that paragraph 8 on page 3 of the minutes of the July 29, 1998, Lunch <br />Work Session be amended, as follows: <br /> <br /> Ms. Taylor reiterated her position, saying she might would not be able to vote <br /> ~;~* *h;~ m~*; ........ ;* ~* ~ .... *h ..... h" 'yes" without more discussion and <br /> the opportunity to ask additional questions. <br /> <br />Mayor Torrey determined there was no objection to the request and ordered the minutes to be <br />revised. <br /> <br />MINUTES-Eugene City Council September 14, 1998 Page 4 <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
