EVALUATION OF ZONE CHANGE REnUEST The applicant has requested a zone change concurrent with the Metro Plan amendment. This zone change is contingent upon approval of the Metro Plan diagram amendment. Approval of the requested zone change cannot occur without an amendment to the current land use designation for this property. The following analysis is based on the staff recommendation to approve the Metro Plan amendment Zone changes are evaluated based on the applicable Cade criteria. Since the land in this request is located in the urbanizable land area, within the urban growth boundary, but outside the City of Eugene, the applicable zone change criteria are found in Section 9.678 of the Lane County Code for the urbanizable area. The City of Eugene has jurisdiction over zzone changes in the urbanizable area. Lane County is not required to take action on the zone change request.
