Un1 ess a di fferent procedure i s established by <br />administrative order of the city manager pursuant to section 2.019 of this code, <br />an individual c1 a i mi ng to be aggrieved by a pract i ce prohibited by sections 4.613 <br />to 4.640, may: . <br />~a~ Within the time limits prescribed in section 4.650, file <br />a ~ request for medi ati an with designated staff, on forms avai 1 abl e <br />from the staff . The i nd i v i duo] may, • at the same time, or at any <br />subsequent time within the 1 imi ts~ prescribed i n section 4.650, f i 1 e <br />a complaint pursuant to subparagraph fib} of this subsection. If the mediation request i s accepted, the notice shat l <br />inform .the parties of the identity of the mediator and shal l <br />establ i sh a t i me for mediation to occur, which i s not 1 ater than 60 <br />days from the date the request was f i 1 ed . Participation i n <br />mediation i s val untary, and either party may reject the offer to <br />medi ate.
