Section 4. The Measure shall be placed upon the official ballot by the City Recorder. <br />Notwithstanding any provision of the Eugene Code,1971, the ballot title for the Measure set forth <br />in Exhibit 1 to this Ordinance is hereby adopted. The City Recorder shall furnish to the County <br />Clerk far Lane County, a certified copy of the ballot title for the Measure, as attached hereto as <br />Exhibit 1, and direct that the County Clerk for Lane County place the Measure upon the ballot to be <br />used at the special City election to be voted upon by the electors of the City. <br />Section 5. ~ The City Recorder is directed to give not less than ten X10}days' notice of the <br />city election by publication of one ~1}notice in the Register Guard, a newspaper published in the <br />City and of general circulation within the City, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 2. <br />Section 6. Notwithstanding any requirements of Sections 2.993 to 2.997 of the Eugene <br />Code,1971, the proponent's statement, and rebuttal to apposition in the voter's pamphlet shall be <br />prepared by the chief petitioners from the lt's a Butte Committee. <br />Section 7. Sections 1 and 2 of this Ordinance shall become effective only upon approval <br />of the electors of the City at the election on November 3,1998. <br />Section S.
