zo-oy <br />TITLE: "AMERICAN FLAG UN SKINNER' S BUTTE." <br />Quest. ion: Shall City erect 9~ foot aluminum flagpole on crest of Skinner's Butte to fly <br />American flag? <br />Sum, ma~ry,,,: Approval of this ordinance would dedicate Skinner's Butte park as a <br />memorial to the veterans of all wars in which the United States has <br />participated. The ordinance also would require the city to construct and <br />maintain an aluminum flagpole with an abaveMground height of 9~ feet or <br />more. The ordinance would require the flagpole to be located on the <br />southeast edge of Skinner's Butte, The City must continuously fly an <br />American flag of not less than 1 a by 19 feet, except that a larger flag of <br />appropriate dimensions must be flown on special holidays and occasions. <br />The flag must be flown day and night, and must be illuminated during all <br />periods of darkness. It can be lowered only an occasions of high winds or <br />other extreme weather conditions. <br />Exhibit I <br />
