Each individual riser shall be equipped with an OS and Y valve at its base and an approved valve for draining. ~4} Fire de artment connections. Ail four-inch combina- tion standpipes shall be equipped with two-way fire department connections. Ali six-inch combination standpipes shall be equipped with four-way fire department connections. Combina- tion standpipe systems with three or more standpipes shall be provided with at least four-way fire department inlet connec- t ions . Each fire department connection shat 1 be 1 ocated on a street front not less than 18 inches nor more than four feet above grade and shall be equipped with an approved straight- way check valve and substantial plugs or caps. Al 1 fire de- partment connections shall be inspected against mechanical injury and be visible and accessible.
