Such <br />individuals shall not be required or permitted, while on duty, to perform <br />any other duties than those herein specified, Such individuals shat 1 control <br />and monitor the occupancy load to insure compliance with the posted occupancy <br />limit. <br />X32} Section 63.101 of the Uniform Fire Cade is amended to read: <br />Section 63.101. ,Scope. This article applies only to those refrig- <br />erat~on units or systems de,.,~,~.~._.~.,. <br />' scribed herein which require a permit. <br />X33} Section 11.106 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to read: <br />Section 11.106 General Requirements. Notwithstanding any provi- <br />-----Y ~ ~ ,~ .,~,.,~..,~._.,._r... <br />si on to the cantrar the storage of explosives and blasting agents i n quan- <br />tities exceeding 100 pounds is prohibited within the city, except for tempor- <br />ary storage at the site of approved blasting operations where such amount <br />does not exceed one days's supply for use in current operations. <br />X34} Section 11.107 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to read: <br />Section 77.101. State to Issue Permits. Any person desiring cer- <br />tificates of possession ar registration of explosives as prescribed by ORS <br />480.230 shall comply with Sections 11.106 through 11.108 of the State Fire <br />Code, i n addition to obtaining any permits required by this code or the ad- <br />ministrative code. <br />X35} Section 77.108 of the Uniform Fire Code is deleted. <br />X36} Section 78.102 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to read: <br />Section 18.102 - Permits. <br />~a} In addition to any other permit required by law, a permit <br />shall be required to sell, use, possess or explode fireworks <br />intended far a supervised public display and far the retail sale of <br />fireworks. <br />fib} A public display permit shall not be valid for mare than <br />ten days from the date of issuance and shall only authorize one <br />fireworks display during the period. Permits for retail sales of <br />fireworks shall be valid only for the period of June 23 to July 6 <br />of the year i n which they are issued. <br />EXCEPTIONS: No permit i s required for the fallowing uses of <br />fireworks: <br />1. Sales to, use, possession or expl osi an by rai 1 road, <br />boat, motor vehicle or other transportation agencies, for <br />signal , warning, or i 11 umi nati on purposes i n connection with <br />such businesses. <br />2. Sales to, use, possession or explosion of blank <br />cartridges far licensed shows or theatres ar far signal or <br />ceremonial purposes in athletic or sporting events. <br />3. Sales of blank cartridges for use, possession or <br />explosion by the armed forces or any organization of war vet- <br />erans or other organization authorized by law to parade in <br />publ i c a col or guard armed with firearms. <br />4. Sale, use and possession of any items excluded from <br />the definition of fireworks in section 9.108. <br />5. Sale, use and passessi on of sparklers . <br />6. Sale, use and possession of snakes and other similar <br />smoke-praduci ng material that produces no visible flame during <br />discharge, no after-smoldering, and insufficient heat to ig- <br />ni to readi 1y combustible materials upon which the devices or <br />materi a] s are placed. <br />Ordinance - 8 <br />
