Nane of the fees, bonds or insur- <br />ance requirements provided for in this chapter or the rules adopt- <br />ed under this chapter shall be required if the applicant is a municipality. <br />__ p e c ~. f i c B u, s i n_e s s R e,g_ <br />tions <br />3.115 Ambulance - License and Personnel Re uired. <br />~1} No person shall operate an ambulance vehicle or business within <br />the corporate limits of the city without first obtaining a license for <br />operation. <br />~2~ Na person shall operate a vehicle as an ambulance that is not <br />equipped, operated, and attended by the personnel as required by the rules <br />adopted under this chapter, <br />3.119 Ambulance - Emer ency Medical Services Board; Created. There is <br />hereby created an emergency medical services board for the cities <br />of Eugene and Springfield that shall be comprised of five ~5~ members, in- <br />cluding one representative from each of the fallowing: <br />~a} Lane County Emergency Medical Technicians Association, <br />fib} Lane County Fire Defense Board, and <br />~c} One physician from each of the following hospitals: <br />Sacred Heart, Eugene Clinic, and McKenzie Willamette. The hospi- <br />tals' Emergency Qepartment Administrator shall submit to the mayor <br />the names of qualified physicians willing to serve. <br />Members shall be nominated by the mayors and appointed by the city councils <br />to serve fora two-year term. In addition, each ambulance operator's <br />physician-advisor shall hold an ex-officio position for so long as he or she <br />continues to act as physician-advisor to the ambulance operator. All members <br />shall serve without compensation. The provisions of section 2.041 of this <br />code apply to the emergency medical services board. <br />3.121 Ambulance - Emer ency Medical Services Board Powers and Duties. <br />The emergency medical services board shall meet at the request of <br />the city manager or designee and shall have the following powers and duties: <br />~a~ To propose and revise rules necessary to implement sec- <br />tions 3.115 to 3.145 of this code. These rules may address, but <br />are not limited to, the following areas: <br />1. Protocols for pre-hospital patient care; <br />2. Minimum equipment standards for each vehicle of an <br />ambulance operator; <br />3. Protocols regarding drugs carried and used by ambu- <br />lance operators and drugs required to be carried in each <br />Ordinance - 22 <br />
