C. Location in Buildin . The storage of Class I or <br />II organic peroxides shall be an the ground floor only. <br />The storage of Class III organic peroxides shall not be <br />permitted in basements. <br />15. Contamination. Organic peroxides shall be stored <br />in their original shipping containers DOT cantainers}. Dur- <br />ing storage, care shall be taken to prevent contamination. <br />fib} Exterior Stora e. <br />1. General. Exterior storage of organic peroxides shall <br />be in accordance with this subsection and the general provi- <br />sions specified in Section 80.301. <br />EXCEPTION: Unclassified detonatable arganic peroxides <br />that are capable of detonation in their normal shipping <br />containers under fire conditions shall be stored in <br />accordance with the requirements of Article 17 for high <br />explosives. <br />2. Distance from Stora e to Ex osures. Storage areas <br />for organic peroxides shall be located in accordance with <br />Tables 80.307-C and 80.301-D. <br />3. Fire Extin uishin S stem. Automatic fire sprinkler <br />system protection shall be provided when required for weight <br />or distance by Tables 80.307-C and 80.307-D. <br />4. Electrical Wirin and E ui ment. In addition to the <br />requirements of Section 80.301~r~, electrical wiring and equip- <br />ment in exterior storage areas containing Class I, II or III <br />organic peroxides shall comply with the requirements for Class <br />I, Division 2 locations. <br />5. Limit Controls. Liquid level limit controls shall <br />not be required for atmospheric tanks used for the storage of <br />Class II, III, Iv or v arganic peroxides. <br />6. Stvra a Conditions. <br />A. Maximum Quantities. Maximum quantities of organic <br />peroxides shall be as specified in Tables 80.301-C and <br />30.301-D. <br />B. Storaq,e Arrangement. Storage arrangement shall <br />be as specified in Tables 80.301-E, 80.307-F and 80.307-G. <br />1. Se aration. In addition to the provisions of Section <br />50.301~n~, storage areas for organic peroxides exceeding the <br />amounts specified in Table 80.301-B shall be located a minimum <br />distance of 50 feet from other hazardous material storage. <br />Section 50.305 - Hazardous Materials, P ra horic Materials. <br />~a} Indoor St„orage. <br />1. General. Indoor storage of pyrophvric solids, <br />liquids and gases shall be in accordance with the provisions <br />of this subsection and the general provisions specified in <br />Section 30.301. <br />~.
