T e of Construction, In addition to the requirements <br />of the Structural Specialty Code for Group H, Division 2 and 3 <br />occupancies, buildings used for the storage of pyrophoric mat- <br />erials shall be of non-combustible construction. <br />4. Li,uid_-,Tight Floor. In addition to the provisions of <br />Section 80.301~z}, floors of storage areas shall be of liquid- <br />tight construction. <br />5. Containment. Secondary containment shall be provided <br />for storage rooms and buildings containing pyrophoric liquids <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 80.3011}4. <br />6. Electrical Wirin and E ui ment. In addition to the <br />requirements of Section 80.301~r}, electrical wiring and <br />equipment in storage areas far pyrophoric gases and liquids <br />shall comply with the requirements for Class I, Division 2 <br />locations. <br />1. 5tara~e Conditions. <br />A~. Pal~~ eti ied storage of pyrophoric 1 i qui ds and <br />solids shall be limited to a maximum size of 10 feet by <br />10 feet by 5 feet high. Individual containers shall not <br />be stacked. <br />B. Aisles between storage piles shall be a minimum <br />of ten feet in width. <br />C. Tanks or containers larger than 500 gallons shall <br />not be permitted inside buildings. <br />8. Separation. In addition to the provisions of Section <br />80.301~n}, indoor storage of pyrophoric solids, liquids and <br />gases shall be isolated from incompatible hazardous materials <br />by one-hour fire-resistive noncombustible walls with openings <br />protected in accordance with UBC Section 3305~h}. <br />EXCEPTION: Storage in approved hazardous materials <br />storage cabinets built in accordance with the provisions <br />of Section 80.3010}. <br />fib} Exterior Sto. rage, <br />1.
