Secondary containment shall be provided <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 80,3011}4. <br />4. Storage Conditions. Exterior storage of other health <br />hazard solids and liquids shall be separated into piles not <br />larger than 2,500 cubic feet. Aisle widths between piles shall <br />be not less than one half the height of the pile or ten feet, <br />whichever is greater. <br />~c} S ecial Provisions - Breathin A aratus. Where other <br />health hazard solids, liquids, and gases are stored, a minimum of <br />two self-contained breathing apparatus shall be provided. The <br />breathing apparatus shall be suitable far use with the material <br />stared and shall be located near the immediate area of storage in <br />a location that provides safety to those expected to don the appa- <br />ratus. A safe area is one which is not likely to be immediately <br />affected by the release of hazardous material in the area of con- <br />cern. A written Respiratory Protection P1 an, personnel training, <br />equipment inspection and maintenance, and record keeping shall be <br />provided in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134. <br />EXCEPTION: Storage areas or buildings where storage is con- <br />tinually limited to materials which can be demonstrated to <br />present na respiratory dangers. <br />Division Iv <br />DISPENSING, USE AND HANDLING <br />Section 80.401 -Hazardous Materials, General. <br />~a} .Sc~aa e. This division shall apply to the dispensing, use <br />and handling of hazardous materials ~n excess of the exempt amounts <br />specified in Tables 80.402-A and 80.40-B. <br />EXCEPTION: Hazardous materials regulated by other Articles <br />in this code. <br />~ b} Containers, C 1 i nders and Tanks . <br />1. General. Containers, cylinders and tanks utilized <br />for the dispensing, handling or use of hazardous material s <br />shall comply with the provisions of Section 80.401~b}. <br />2. Desi n and Construction. Containers, cylinders and <br />tanks shall be designed and constructed in accordance with <br />nationally recognized standards. See Section 2.303~b}.} <br />3, Tanks Out-of-Service 90 Da s. Any stationary tank <br />not used far a period of 90 days shall be properly safeguarded <br />or removed in a manner approved by the chief.
