Where gases or liquids are carried in pressurized <br />piping above 15 psig, excess flow control shall be pro- <br />vided. Where the piping originates from within a hazard- <br />ous material storage roam or area, the excess flow con- <br />trol shall be located within the storage room or area. <br />Where the piping originates from a bulk source, the ex- <br />cess flow control shall be located as close to the bulk <br />source as practical. <br />D. Readily accessible manual or automatic remotely <br />activated fail-safe emergency shutoff valves shall be <br />installed on supply piping and tubing at the following <br />locations: <br />i. At the paint of use. <br />ii. At the tank, cylinder Or bulk source. <br />~d} Equipmment. Equipment, machinery and processes utilized <br />for d~spens~ng, use or handling of hazardous materials shall be <br />suitable for the intended use. Such equipment, machinery and pro- <br />cesses shall be maintained in an operable condition and shall be <br />replaced, repaired or removed from service where found to be <br />defective. The separation shall be provided by one of <br />the following; <br />1. Segregated from incompatible hazardous materials <br />storage by a distance of not less than 20 feet; or <br />2. lsal ated from incompatible hazardous materials stor- <br />age by a noncombustible partition extending not less than 18 <br />inches above and to the front and sides of the stored material. <br />3. Storage of hazardous materials in hazardous materials <br />storage cabinets in accordance with the provisions of Section <br />80.303~a}6.B or So.30~~0}. <br />4. Storage of compressed gases in gas cabinets in accord- <br />ance with the provisions of Section 80.3o3~a}S.B, <br />~f} Noncombustible Floor.
